Let me put this sticky topic for us to be updated about the Criminology Board Examination.
Any info/news/notice/announcement/memo from PRC which are not readily available from the PRC website maybe placed here.

To start with...below is the new set up of the AREA COVERAGE which include their corresponding weights...

The major subjects and their corresponding weights are:

a. Criminal Jurisprudence, Procedure and Evidence - 20%
b. Law Enforcement Administration                        - 20%
c. Crime Detection and Investigation (CDI)            - 20%
d. Criminalistics                                           - 15%
e. Correctional Administration                        - 10%
f. Sociology of Crimes and Ethics                           - 15%

Each major area is subdivided into specific sub-areas of concerns as well as their corresponding description of scope of coverage.

As per announcement by Dr. Lourdes Aniceto during the 1st FACCI National Convention held in Bacolod last Nov 26 and 27, 2009, the schedule for 2010 Criminology Licensure Examination will on the following dates:

1. APRIL 7, 8, 9, 2010 - Deadline of filing will be on March 16, 2010
2. AUGUST 28, 29, 30, 2010 - Deadline of filing will be on August 9, 2010

Board Member Atty. Ernesto Cabrera has presented the New Syllabus for Criminologist Licensure Examination last April 30, 2010 during the 20th PCAP convention held in Davao City.

It was very unfortunate that many did not attend said convention, thats includes me . For this reason, we call our colleagues who recevied a copy of the said new syllabus to post it here or atleast discuss the overview in this forum, for all to be informed.

In my case, i have a copy of the one presented by Hon. Lourdes Aniceto with the same title " New Syllabus for Criminologist Licensure Exam, however, i do not know if this is the same copy as that from Atty Cabrera.

my cousin po is a criminology graduate and is planning to have his review at Manila, what review center po ang good na maganda ang rate ng passing? and about sa review books din po, anu po ma iireccomend nyo po.. thaks a lot. GOD BLESS!

Hello my MJSTY  . Good luck sa cousin mo. Try mo ang University of Manila, or sa MLQU or sa PCCr mismo, but if you can send your cousin sa Baguio, pa enroll mo cia sa Univ of the Cordilleras (the BEST) or sa Univ of Baguio, or if you can make it to Angeles City just an hr to Manila via NLEX, hanapin mo si sir RKM sa Angeles University, may review sila mismo doon.
