The court neither punishes nor releases the criminal. The court as a pillar of the criminal justice system simply processes the criminal in the determination of his guilt or innocence. It is in court where due process is completed.

court is one of the five pillar criminal justice system. so when we say court it is a place or venue where to hear and decide a legal case or issues to determine the innocents or guilty of the accused and imposed appropriate penalty.
