TOPIC: The Green Belt Incident

The Green Belt Incident 2 years, 6 months ago #6205

As you have seen it on TV and read in the papers the other week...the greenbelt rolex holdup case.
Its time to make some critics/reactions re: to whom the loopholes should be pointed at and what corrective actions shoule be take into considerations..

loophole: first and foremost sa security ng mall.. hindi dapt nkapasok ung holdapers. sa main entrance pa lng, dapat naintercept na sila. don p lng nagkaengkwentro na kung tlgang papalag ang security to prevent their entry. kaso hindi eh. umabot pa sa store mismo..

well...walang loopholes, dahil walang dapat iluost ang security,.

When people are part of providing security and safety, the most important thing is common sense, sadly hindi kasama sa curriculum ng mga magaaral yan.. haha!

There's no such thing as impenetrable barriers. Alam natin lahat yan. To achieve a mission one has to plan and execute it. Sometimes the enemy is much smarter than us. Na malusotan ang mga security is not surprising at all. If you have to suspend or abolish the Emirates, we might as well abolish the PNP for not able to stop criminalities in the country.

haha! hindi naman po ako ang director ng SAGSD. haha....it's only a suspension, there are lessons to be learned, and people rarely learns  in a lenient environment. Emirates is a private security agency, it has to learn a lesson the hard way, if it entails bankrupting its owner, i couldn't care less, you put up a business it goes with responsibility and obligations, it's all about command responsibility. suspend it for say six months, and then they can start from scratch, it will teach them to train their personnel well and make sure they hire competent security forces, dispatch only those who are prepared for the task.

there haven't been much improvement in the PNP because most people are too forgiving, too considerate and too lenient on matters of public safety where as you have mentioned, nothing is impenetrable therefore, these forces should know that they should be more keen and knowledgeable of their responsibilities and accountability when they failed to do their tasks.

i would be forgiving if they used another method of entrance, if they disabled alarms or penetrated the building like Brad Pitt and George Clooney in Ocean's Eleven,  ::)i would be forgiving, if it was Flores' gang's  first hit, but it wasn't the case.

we put up with poor services whether it be the PNP or private security forces, we diminish standards and when we diminish standards we get used to it until the profession is reduced to a job. Until we hold no one accountable and be ready to punish them for their failures, we just have to put up with crappy services all our lives.

Nothing is impenetrable is not to be used as an excuse, when security fails, nothing is impenetrable is a guide, that those who are tasked with public safety should always be watchful and alert no matter how reliable the security seems, people are smarter than walls and machines, that's why security personnel exists, to be there when all walls and machine fails, in this case the personnel failed, their incompetence proved that their absence would not be missed in the industry, they're just good at making people fall in line and watching shoplifters.

If we accept the fact that the enemy could always outsmart us, then it is time to quit...
