can anyone cite briefly the pros and cons of these two? without bias?

i've been doing some research and i cannot find how much a manual election would cost, vs an automated elections...

i want to know, just so i could fully weigh the pros and cons...

We, filipinos have the knack of living way beyond our means just so we could follow the trend...haste makes waste...

how many percentage of the filipino people are educated? computer illiterate? do we have the resources not to mention the patience to herd the illiterate filipinos in the step by step process of an automated election?

there are no guarantees..nothing is impenetrable when it comes to security, if there is a will there is a way to rig just about anything. my chief concern is, how prepared are we? security wise, education wise, budget wise?

too much eagerness to follow the lead of progressive countries is not a wise decision, we are way behind, we can't just skip lanes or stages...why can't we for once try to think things through as a whole package and imagine the whole scenario before enforcing our personal convictions?

why not do it increment by increment? ARMM elections was not even near perfectly executed how much more nationally? its ludicrous....

do we have enough time? last May, time was running out and they were cramming, 10 months to go elections come. and the local partner for the software development backed out, The government seem so passive about it, imagine linaglag ang buong pilipinas? iniwan sa ere? haay.......and what then? filipino culture strikes again "bahala na" "pwede na" frustrating...

my convictions are not yet well founded, so i am still susceptible to brainwashing. please pour in your thoughts..LOL

  importante walang DAYAAN...but ung mga my mga personal interest malayo pa ang eleskyon planado na siguro ung mga gagawin nila..hay naku tamaan sila ng kidlat...blleeeehh  waste ng ung votes natin pag may daya...automated...ajejejehh

Ang dapat baguhin, yong utak ng mga taong magmamaniobra ng eleksyon! Ang pinoy pa?? Kahit anong ingenuity ang iharap to curtail corruption or pandadaya, gagawa at gagawa ng paraan para mailusot ang gustong ilusot! Hay naku. gastos lang ng gobyerno yan at dagdag pa sa kikitain ng mga iba yan.

oh yes, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious ang bitterness! haha!bongga!  anyway..that's right.. ang pambansang kasabihan nga ng pinoy eh, "if there's a will there's a way!" yes, english ang pambansang kasabihan, haha! ano ba sa tagalog ang will? ;D nakakahiya ako..daig pa ako ng malansang isda!  ;D anyway..actually my worry was, ngayon imbis na isa isang binabayaran ng mga candidates ang tao na tag iisang daan, ngayon bilang nalang ang babayaran o diba?! regulated ang na ang dayaan, kontrolado at iilan nalang ang ibbribe! bravo COMELEC! hahaha! adik.. ang sama sama talag ni mamdulz  ;D kung ano ano tuloy naisip ko..haay.

well come to think of it, say i'm running for president, 90 million Filipinos, voters around 40M if i paid at least half the voters 100 each 2B na yun! tama ba? oo tama, i'm always right. customer ako..haha! eh kung programmers lang ang babayaran ko, there are 80 thousand machines to be operated nationally, if i give 100k per machine, well. that's only 800M! oh! just look at that i saved 1.2 B! pwedi ko ng pagkain sa Le Cierque at Bobby Van's yun for at least a year, kung mag isa ako! hahaha!
