Sa palagay niyo ba napapanahon na na matutunan ng ating mga criminologist ang modern subjects like forensic investigation na hindi lang puro theory kundi aktwal na pagamit ng moderning teknolohiya upang matuto ang ating mga magaaral? Paano natin mababago ang makalumang pananaw ng ating mga dating guro upang kanilang tanggapin ang pagpasok ng mga bagong pagaaral at pagsisiyasat sa Kriminolohiya?

HINDI PURO THEORY LANG . . .

Actually, there is no right time to modernize the field of Criminology in the Philippines. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow is the right time, but we must admit the fact that OUR country just don’t really admit that we were just imitating all things abroad. Why, don’t we decide for US? Make OUR country be best. The truth is Filipino people were good rather better in many ways. But, sad to say, OUR government didn’t pay attention to pick those experts, so those experts decided to go abroad for a high paying salary. Make your choice, decide now, and take your part. It’s on your hand. Today is the day to start, make a move. Even the cheapest one is valuable. Just don’t forget "keep on smiling". Hehe…….

"we" cannot expand the current subjects in criminology because it is CHED's call. we are not in the position to do so. but you can make a proposal.

anyway, for the sake of discussion.... if you mean adding new subjects, i don't agree. adding means increasing the number of units which is tantamount to more expenses on the part of the students. but then, we can make improvements on the current curriculum. like for example, we can request CHED to revise the curriculum and replace outdated/obsolete subjects and replace them with "modern" ones without necessarily increasing the number of units. Second, teachers could enhance their teaching by adapting educational technology into their syllabi. teachers could also integrate discussion and activities pertaining to latest and relevant topics in criminology.

i think criminology graduates who go into teaching should strongly consider taking education units. to practice criminology is one and to teach criminology is another. at present, most crim teachers lack teaching aptitude. they must be trained teachers also to maximize the teaching-learning potential inside the classroom.

dapat lang.. but who'll teach the new breed of criminology students? mahirap eh, technology na lang kasi talo na ang mga schools... tapos, yari din ang mga students kasi mag-iincrease, ok na ko sa theory, basta madagdagan na lang ung basic na itinuturo ung iba kasi outdated na talaga.. sana ung mga criminologist association lalo na ung nasa PEACE, eh sila ang mag-lobby para sa pagbabago ng curriculum especially sa criminalistics subjects and yung sa industrial security management, para laging may choice ang ibang graduate... tama po ba????.. tapos, PLEASE lang, sana magkaisa na tayong lahat para marevised uli ung RA 8551... sana, sana lang ha... maging malinaw ung sa EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT... na kung criminologist ka dapat line lahat, tapos pag-nursing, kunwari crime lab or sa hospital, pag business course, administrative job.. ung tamang ganito ba... hindi ung porke 4 years graduate ka kahit naman criminologist napupunta sa line... gets nyo???? maraming sablay na pulis recently, pro check nyo hindi lahat criminologist...

hehe sbgay tama ka keyel..pero kc my series of exam nmn nangyayari sa recruitmnt process regstrd criminologst ka nga halmbawa pero bgsak ka sa neuro exam or my sakit ka dka rn pede sa pnp org..dba?atska hnd ma memeet yung qouta kung lht ng applicant is dpt rgstred criminologst..mnsn knte ang pumapasa sa PRC at mnsn kht sa napolcom exm hnd pumapasa ang graduate lng ng criminology..heheh kc hnd laht ng rgstrd criminologst magpupulis mrn gusto sa BFP,bjmp,mgng instructor,or mgtatrabaho sa any law enforcement agency atska gnda nmn privilege ng rgstrd criminologst kc maka pag lateral entry kau dba?..
and then f bgng recruit k mn ng PNP is my course dn na cla na PSBRC more on criminology relatd subjcts tinuturo dun poh..kya yunh any bachelors dgree na trainee matuto dn about pulis works..hehe..

I think so, yes! We need more subjects focusing in psychology and behavioral dynamics... More lie detection courses.
