well sir matt , its neither pro life nor anti life its is pro choice though since we are to be given a chance to choose use the methods to prevent untimely pregnancies, etc.etc... it's pro quality life.
we have to face the reality that premarital sex does happen and we can never solve this problem by keeping our eyes shut and deny to ourselves that it does happen, so if we cannot stop this thing PMS from happening, might as well regulate it. the inflation of the population is just too much..
but as i have said, there was really no need to bring this bill up because just about anyone can procure condoms and contraceptives, they are available everywhere, malls, drugstores, grocery stores, the law enforcement agency does not enforce strict policy regulation upon the procurement of these contraceptives for the legislators to even consider it necessary for the passage of the bill. it's just a waste of time and brain neuron activity for the state and church debating over it
The way i see it, once the bill is passed the way it is, it will centainly violate so many rights. Let me state the rationale of the symposium. The provisions therein could lead to a universal access to abortion and warrant the massive use of contraceptives that would facilitate the implimentationj of population control. For a country like the Philippines where majority of the people are living in sub-human condition, there is nothing wrong in considering responsible parenthood which include family planning. Of course, the church does not denounce family planning per se. This is accepted provided the method that is being promoted is in line with Natural Law, which is the Natural Family Planning Method. Unfortunately, the House Bill does not subscribe to this natural family planning method. Maybe, there should be some ways of of improving the provisions of this bill so that it will jibe to the stand of the Church and the Law.
