I'm not sure if what i'm proposing have been done before but I suggest and/or recommend that some incentives be given to the top 3 of every Criminology Board examinations. These proposed incentive may include 100% refund of their payment to any review centers, immediate hiring by any Criminology schools as instructor, etc. This way many will aspire to be one. By the way, RKM can we publish here the list of those who top the Board examinations for everybody's appreciation. Thanks.

Good idea Capt..but i suggest that the most effective way to encourage the examinees to strive themselves to be one of the top is when the top 3 will have a privilege to be hired directly as a member of the PNP without the prejudice to a long process of applying, as long as they attain the minimum requirements for appointment and undergo field training.
Its a very Dangerous thing to know, we know everything..

Big universities of Baguio City and Manila (and some others outside Manila), this kind of motivational measure has been adopted. And it is not only top 1 to 3 but all those who landed in the top 1 to 20 under at a scheme of cash reward.

University of the Cordilleras, for example, the known top performing school nationwide gives incetives to top nothcers and absorb them as faculty members too.

I think too, this really is a nice idea.

I'm very happy of the very positive reactions to the proposed incentives to top board passers of Criminology Board examinations. On lateral entry with PNP, possibly also with BJMP, BFP, and PDEA I hope PCAP and PEACE can provide the moral suasion to convince them to absorb our topnotchers, subject of course to existing policies of these organization. The problem is, PCAP seems to be hibernating and PEACE does'nt really go to the grassroots to get the pulse of its constituents on the many issues affecting the profession. Our educational institutions must be willing to give back a portion of the tuition paid for by the students in return for the honor the topnotchers bestowed on them. This should be one of their marketing strategies to get more students enrolled in Criminology.
